Corporate Clients

Mike Krause and AES offer training in farm financial and risk management software to corporate clients, such as banks, which support the rural sector. This training includes interactive computer programs such as Ri$ky Business and Plan to Profit (P2P).

AES has developed a method for undertaking a Risk Audit on a farm business. Staff can be trained in this method, which assists them to judge the important risks facing farmer clients.

Ri$ky Business is a farming simulation game that allows participants to experience what it is like to manage a farming business with uncertainty. It provides participants with an excellent learning environment to experience what it is like to be a farmer. So, it allows participants to gain a greater understanding of the farmer client, gain empathy with the rural community and understand some effective risk management strategies.

This is conducted as a one-day workshop created by the University of Western Australia and delivered by AES. AES has conducted this workshop for over 80 groups.

Plan to Profit (P2P) is a unique ‘whole-farm planning’ software tool. It provides estimates of enterprise gross margins, five-year projected profit and loss budgets and balance sheets. Its strength is the scenario analysis where various strategies and different plans can be compared. This allows for significantly improved decision making. P2P is available as a training and software program fors use with clients.
